Elaine Ruettiger

The artist attained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Cal-State University at Fullerton.  After twenty years as a professional interior designer, she rediscovered her interest in painting, and has since developed her talents through classes and workshops.

Rich and vibrant color is the hallmark of this artist's works whether they be in oil or pastel.  Flowers are an endless source of inspiration, with their many varied forms and colors.  Landscapes, both local and exotic, are a favored subject.

Limited entries in local and regional shows have earned some prestigious awards, and her work is being increasingly collected.

She is a member of both the Southern California Plein Air Painters Association and the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association. She has exhibited at Art-A-Fair for several years, and is currently represented by Laguna North Gallery in Laguna Beach, California.
